Digital Marketing/Content Creator – Team Member

South Asians in Sports is seeking a content creator to join the team.  We are seeking a creative, self-starting and highly-motivated individual based in the USA or Canada, who is interested in helping SAIS accelerate its reach and growth.

This role is unique in that it allows you to truly shape the organization’s messaging, growth, and brand strategy. We are seeking a highly motivated, resourceful and agile person who has impeccable writing, digital marketing and research skills and who is comfortable working remotely and with little supervision. This is a ~10 hour/week commitment. All team members work remotely.

The perfect candidate would be someone who is looking to build their resume by making a lot of impact quickly in a niche industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sports industry, is well versed in the business of sports and believes in our organization’s mission and values.

As a registered 501c3, South Asians in Sports offers course credit and other fulfillments for students/visa holders.

This opportunity is unpaid and remote.

Role Responsibilities
Social Media
Create engaging, relevant and creative content for all social channels that aligns with org’s growth strategy and values.

Research
Data collection, research and present industry trends, research and present diaspora statistics.

Events
Assist with planning, creating and executing digital events.

Desired Skills
Must have completed or currently completing an undergraduate degree. Graduate level and above preferred. 
Technical Skills- Word, Excel, Basic HTML, WordPress (website building and photography skills a plus)
Has 1-2 years experience creating and posting highly engaging content to Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
Adobe Photoshop/Graphic Design skills
Excellent organization skills
Good written and verbal communication
Highly motivated, self-started who enjoys freedom to create and execute tasks without too much instruction or micro-management
Self-motived, enjoys working independently
Highly positive attitude
Dependable team player
Previous leadership skills a major plus
Highly responsive via email and phone

Ability to work independently and remotely
Have your own laptop, mobile phone and wifi connection
Ability to meet short deadlines and work with remote teams

Community & Events Manager – Team Member

South Asians in Sports is seeking a community and events manager to join the team.  We are seeking an outgoing, energetic, self-starting and positive individual based in the USA or Canada, who is interested in helping SAIS engage, motivate and grow its membership.

We are seeking a people-centered professional who loves connecting with people and is highly organized. This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable working remotely and with little supervision. This is a ~10 hour/week commitment. All team members work remotely.

The perfect candidate would be someone who is looking to build connections, and create new and novel experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sports industry, is well versed in the business of sports and believes in our organization’s mission and values.

Role Responsibilities
Public Relations
Lead community outreach initiatives, meet with and  build relationships with sports professionals, other organizations and institutions.
Advocate for and create connections with business leaders in sports.
Manage, create press releases and lead media outreach.

Marketing
Create email communication strategies geared toward existing and potential members.
Collaborate with Social Media team on strategy, execution and management

Growth
Reach monthly membership growth goals through innovative and creative strategies.
Create and maintain new business partners relationships.

Events
Manage and steer all events and programming; from planning to execution.

Desired Skills
